This screen will enable you to obtain DNA files from Genbank, a federal repository of genetic information, and remove (filter) everything but the DNA sequence from the file. | Note: The primary purpose of this screen is to help you construct your own cases by preparing DNA files that the simulation can read (that is, files containing only the characters A,C, G, and T). If you are only using the prepackaged cases included with the Case It download, it will not be necessary to use this Genbank screen. |
