To cut (digest) all of the DNA samples with this enzyme simultaneously, use the following procedure: (1) in the "Opened & processed" window, click the line "DNA: DNA uncle.gen". (2) Hold down the SHIFT key, then click the line "DNA: DNA Susan.gen". All of the samples should be highlighted as shown below. (3) Hold down the SHIFT key again, and click the "Cut DNA" button.
Note: An alternate procedure is to cut the DNA samples one at a time. To do this, click a particular line, then click the 'Cut DNA' button. Note: In this example, only one restriction enzyme is being used. If you want to digest a particular DNA sample with multiple restriction enzymes simultaneously (e.g. during the restriction mapping procedure), you would hilight multiple enzyme files in the 'Opened & processed' window, hold down the SHIFT key, then click the 'Cut DNA' button. |
