...and the dot blot apparatus appears. Click the "Method" button and select "Dot Blot --> Add DNA for spotting...", as shown below.

Note: In this example PCR products are used, but the simulation will generate the same dot blot results if the original DNA files are used (the ones ending with a '.gen' suffix). PCR products are used in this example because that is what is done in reality. In general, it is quicker (but less realistic) to run dot blots with the original DNA files, because you can skip the PCR step.

Note: In this program, the same graphic (96-well plate) is used to designate an ELISA, 96-well PCR. This is realistic for the first two procedures, but an actual 96-well dot blot apparatus is somewhat different in appearance from the graphic shown below.
